*Hotel Babylon finished screening in April 2008*
Hotel Babylon checks in for a third series, exposing what really goes on beyond all the glitz and glamour of TV's most luxurious five-star hotel.
Max Beesley returns as charismatic Charlie Edwards, stepping into the role of general manager, following the departure of Rebecca Mitchell (played by Tamzin Outhwaite). But he soon realises that being the boss means making decisions that are unpopular with the hotel's devoted staff.
Once inside Hotel Babylon, guests are greeted by warm and friendly faces - mostly. Concierge Tony (Dexter Fletcher) offers service with a smile - he's a man who can get anything you want, when you want. Head receptionist Anna (Emma Pierson) is always very hospitable - as long as you're very handsome and very loaded. And her front desk colleague Ben (Michael O'Biora) is always eager to please - if a little naive.
Elsewhere, head of housekeeping Jackie (Natalie Mendoza), head barman Gino (Martin Marquez) and food and beverage manager James (Ray Coulthard) also ensure that Hotel Babylon runs smoothly.
But behind the glossy facade lies the sinister side of the hotel industry. Last series, Tony got on the wrong end of some Russian businessmen, Ray's gambling addiction was exposed and Ben confronted a face from his past.
Famous names that have already stayed at Hotel Babylon include Chris Moyles, Kelly Brook and Danny Dyer. Special guests this time round include Torchwood star John Barrowman and Ex-EastEnder Anita Dobson. And in episode one, American Idol's Paula Abdul checks in - and is soon checking out Tony...
And helping Charlie run a tight ship is his new deputy Jack Harrison (Lee Williams), while Emily James (Alexandra Moen) will keep a lid on any scandal, as the hotel's new head of PR.
But with Max himself quitting at the end of this series, the question is: will Charlie walk? Or will he be pushed?

Preacher and wannabe faith healer, Jonah Slaughter, arrives at Babylon with his assistant Nathan in tow. Also checking in is Martin, who wants an urn containing his son's ashes to be held in the hotel's safe. When this isn't an option, Jack asks James to guard the urn with his life.
Another guest, Caroline, has been employed by Nathan to convince Jonah that he's not really a faith healer and…
